A day in the life of Mai ...

I do most of the heavy lifting on the weekend. This is a typical day when I focus on the shop. I made some new basswood blanks today. The wood pile is getting low. I'm close to an order of some cool Black Limba, so I need the space.

This is the pile after being partially planned, then glued together.

This is how the raw wood arrives. It is actually in longer planks, but those get cut to 40 or 60 inch pieces to get them inside. Each blank is 19-20 inches, so those sizes work.
